The sound from the sub-holes work quite notably well and can distinguish the right sound when you need to hit those flatter or lower notes. The sound feels to be "oh so" pure and it's instantly lovable. I feel the music produced is more Mythical when playing A through to G and more nature-like when playing the higher notes. This sound is one of my top highlights because it does truly sound to fit it's name. The sound starts as a warm ancient tone tone and then soft nature-like sounds when raised to higher notes. The sound resonating from the Dragon Tooth contains only few similarities to other Ocarinas. The Mouthpiece requires only cover of the tip. The Mouthpiece points out a few centimeters increasing the overall length and is designed to be held with mouth and finger placement vertically along the Ocarina itself. Not only are the finger holes unique but the Mouthpiece as well. All finger holes on the Dragon Tooth have a rounded edge which leaves your fingers slightly bubbly after long hours of play, but consistantly comfortable. But should only be a challenge to play for only a handful of hours. The Subholes have been designed near their respective finger hole and because of the design fingers shouldn't accidently cover up the subholes.įinger Placement is also very unique. The Middle finger hole is smaller than the other 11 holes as no air can escape when using the subhole above it and allows for comfortable rest when covering both.
This Ocarina is a 12 Hole Alto C Ocarina, which features two subholes located on the right hand for the Index finger and the Middle finger. You may find just by it turning it over in your hands, and feeling it's unique tactile feel of it's sharp lines and curves an enjoyable experience. It's texture is very comfortable to play with virtuosity and subtlety. The Ocarinas are each signed and numbered, another reason why each Ocarina is different. In fact all Dragon Tooth Ocarinas will feature different color designs, which is the result of Organic Variations. It's a Beautiful design, which undergoes a lustre glazing process where the unique colors of the Dragon Tooth are born. I am yet to see any damage and believe that the chain will not cause any harm in the near-future.
There has been wonder that the chain could possibly scratch the Ocarina in all it's splendour. It would be wise to always play the Ocarina with the included custom chain attached, regardless of experience. Although, since the Dragon Tooth Ocarina is already large, these thick walls may not be able to protect the Ocarina from a single fall. The Ocarina is heavier than usual Ocarinas and is built with thick solid chamber walls.
